Activity Description

Almost anybody can experience free flight by participating in an introductory tandem paragliding experience with an instructor. The pre-flight briefing takes just a few minutes to prepare and you’re off, gliding through the air in search of waves of lift with a qualified Tandem Flight Instructor. No previous experience is required. Experience the magic of paragliding flight by joining us on one of our introductory paragliding experiences. Cape Town Tandem Paragliding Experiences take place at Signal hill and Lions head in Cape Town City.

WhereSIGNAL HILL, CAPE TOWN Please meet us at the Signal hill view point at the end of Signal hill drive(https://maps.app.goo.gl/Bes1cosD8qXMNXYv5). There is a parking area with some public toilets near the launch area. Be sure to ask for Winelands Paragliding. LIONSHEAD, CAPE TOWN Please meet us at the LIONSHEAD carpark on Signal hill drive (https://maps.app.goo.gl/9vnmpHzpGbxhjCqS). There is a red coffee truck parked at the start of the trail where we meet. Be sure to ask for Winelands Paragliding.

WeatherParagliding is entirely weather dependent, we can only fly at your preferred Time and Destination if the weather allows. Each paragliding LOCATION requires a very specific wind direction and wind speed. Be sure to check in with us 2 hours before the time of your booking to confirm the weather is suitable. We do not take any chances with you, our valued client and will only fly if it is safe to do so. If we are unable to fly from the location you booked for we can offer an alternative location or reschedule your booking. If you are unable to fly during your stay in our area we will give you a full refund.

What to Wear1. We recommend you wear trousers or shorts and a light jacket or windbreaker, depending on the weather. 2. All participants must please wear hiking shoes or trainers 3. Sunglasses. 5. Dresses, skirts and any sandals are not suitable.

Things to Bring1. Your booking reference number. 2. Closed shoes like trainers or hiking shoes. 3. Sunscreen, a hat and sunglasses.

Guests or SpectatorsGuest and spectators are welcome to join for free unless they require the use of our transport service or the location requires an admittance fee.

A ride back to the meeting point.

Exclusions

In-flight media package consisting of HD videos and pictures taken during the flight. Please select this as an add on during booking.
Pick-up and drop-off service.

Notes

Be sure to check in with us 2 hours before the time of your booking to confirm the weather is suitable. We do not take any chances with you, our valued client and will only fly if it is safe to do so. Please arrive 15 – 20 minutes before your booking time so you can go through the screening and COVID-19 safety protocols and get introduced to your instructor who will take you through a pre-flight briefing. The duration of the flight is also entirely weather dependent. If we are unable to fly from the location you booked for we can offer an alternative location or reschedule your booking. If you we are unable to fly during your stay in our area we will give you a full refund.
